THE TEENAGERS LIVE @ DEBASER SLUSSEN
På onsdag kommer dom gamla Ace favoriterna The Teenagers till Stockholm för en spelning
på Debaser. The Teenagers består av fransmännen Quentin Delafon, Dorian Dumont och Michael
Szpiner och bildades i slutet av 2005. De startade som ett skämt när de la upp sitt låtsasband
på Myspace men använde kommentarerna de fick som grund och inspiration för att skriva låtar.
Ett av bandets första spelningar utomlands var på Ace och det ska bli grymt kul att se dom live
igen eftersom jag missade spelningen i somras när dom lirade på Popaganda. Ram Di Dam

PET SHOP BOYS – It Doesnt Often Snow At Christmas

Pet Shop Boys följer upp vårens albumutgivning med en femlåtars jul-ep. Huvudnumret på

“Christmas” blir en ny version av “It doesn’t often snow at christmas”, vilken duon

ursprungligen gav ut 1997 som en present till medlemmarna i sin fanklubb. Ep:n bjuder

även på covers av Madness “My girl” och Coldplays “Viva la vida”. Den sistnämnda har

mixats samman med egna hiten “Domino dancing” och har gjort succé bland gruppens fans

under den pågående världsturnén.

Ikväll får jag besök av Tommy Ericsson från Gimme Indie på stora dansgolvet.

Räkna med att det kommer bli dansant, stämningsfullt och allsångsvänligt.

Inne i lilla rummet är Erik Schmidt tillbaka för att spela häftiga fyrtaktsbeats,

inspirerad utav rostiga spikar och en dystopisk robotframtid. Erik har även en historia

utav musikspelande på bland annat F12, Marie Laveau och nu senast Fabriken. Med sig har

han sin för hösten inflygna vän Abdulla Rashim, direkt från Afrika. Abdulla är aktuell

med sin onsdagsklubb LOOSE på Cobra Bar och har tidigare tvingat både Arvikafestivalen

och Fabriken att lyssna på de obehagliga och psykotiska ljud han tillverkar i sin 10

kvadratmeter stora källarlägenhet belägen i en förort till Botswanas huvudstad Gaborone.

På övervåningen är det dags för mina nya favorit djs Yamandu Nyberg och Björn Clason

att ta över dj-båset med sin sköna blandning av indie, rock och electromixar. Räkna

med ett tredje dansgolv på övervåningen. Pepp pepp!
